WEST INDIES v INDIA PREVIEW

It’s been a story for frustration for the West Indies again, who have failed to challenge India sufficiently so far during this series. They even put themselves in a winning position in the third match before failing to see out out the job and allowing Rohan Sharma to see the Indians home, while the batsman have struggled against spin. Add that to the political machinations which seem an all too frequent part of the West Indies scene and it’s been another frustrating spell for the side which dominated world cricket in the 70′s and 80′s. It’s frustrating to see Keiran Pollard fail to fulfil his obvious one day potential.

As for India, they seem to have shown some signs of growth under current captain Suresh Raina. Ishant Sharma could come into the side and there may also be some rest for Harbajan Singh to make sure he is in A1 condition for the series to follow. It’s a valid question as to whether making changes, which have been promised, will make a significant difference to the strength of Raina’s side. They certainly have the mental edge on their somewhat flat opponents.
