The Tottenham v Wigan betting suggests Spurs will enjoy a turkey shoot against Wigan. While Spurs were qualifying for the Champions League in midweek, Wigan were trying to rebuild their confidence with a win at Hartlepool. So Spurs are bursting with confidence and hope of a bright new dawn. They are missing Robbie Keane and Heurelho Gomes, but Carlo Cudicini should be a more than adequate replacement, with Jermain Defoe still set to turn out despite not being 100 percent. Despite their various absentees, Spurs still have plenty of fire power and an impressive record to defend – plus that 9-1 thrashing of Wigan Athletic last season to play on the minds of their opponents.
Wigan did beat Hartlepool, but look horribly frail. Roberto Martinez is coming under pressure, which is a shame as he’s produced sides sometimes capable of superb passing. But at the moment, there is nothig in their form to suggest they will do anything other than conceded goals. It’s also likely Charles N’Zogbia won’t play after his on, then off move to Birmingham City.
