TOTTENHAM v TWENTE PREVIEW

Spurs go into this game with real problems in central defence thanks to a host of injuries. Williams Gallas, Ledley King, Michael Dawson and Younes Kaboul (hamstring) are all sidelined with injury, so someone will have to partner Sebastian Bassong. Who it is we’ll wait and see.  Harry Redknapp has pledged to be positive and try and go after the Dutch side and with these problems at the back it could be his best policy. Keeper Heurelho Gomes is also in contention to return. It could well be a case of we score more than you. The way Spurs went at Werder Bremen suggests they have enough quality to trouble the Dutch side.

Twente are now under the former Belgian international keeper Michel Preud’Homme. They are unbeaten so far in the Eredivisie and Champions League, but there are 5 draws in those eight matches. Striker Luuk de Jong has netted four times already this season and might be a danger, along with Marc Janko.
