THAILAND OPEN TENNIS ODDS

2/9 Jurgen Melzer v Dudi Sela 3/1

1/3 Ernests Gulbis v Rainer Schuettler 9/4

THAILAND OPEN TENNIS PREVIEW

Seeds Melzer and Gulbis enter the tournament today in the last 16 stage, with Rafael Nadal ready to roll tomorrow. Gulbis should have a relatively straightforward task against the veteran Rainer Schuettler. Gulbis should have too much of an all round game for the veteran German. Melzer, who has had a great season clay and hardcourts, bumps into Sela again after beating him handsomely in the Davis Cup, losing just seven games in a 3-set win on the indoor hard court. Sela usually does well in the Davis Cup, so it was an impressive victory.

In today’s other matches, improving Dutch seed Thiemo De Bakker meets Daniel Brands, Florent Serra takes on Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, while in the last first round match, Mischa Zverev, the Lyon finalist, hopes to continue his good run against Benjamin Becker. If Zverev can fight off jet lag, he will have more than half a chance of victory.

THAILAND OPEN TIPS

Seeds Melzer & Gulbis should both record comfortable wins. A double on them with Betfred pays roughly 60/100 – back them and claim a free £50 bet!
