Blue Bunting is among his main rivals in what looks a decent renewal of the mile and three quarter contest.

13/8 Sea Moon, 7/2 Blue Bunting, 5/1 Census, 15/2 Seville, 8/1 Masked Marvel, 12/1 Bar
The St.Leger has lacked some glamour compared to the other classics, but this 2011 renewal has something going for it. Sea Moon spread-eagled a competititve looking field in the Great Voltiguer Stakes to vault to the head of the market. He beat Seville, who re-opposes here, in terrific style and outsider Genius Beast. That 8 length win was his 3rd in a row, and it suggested great things. He showed good stamina over the mile and a half in soft ground, so the extra distance should not be a problem.
Blue Bunting showed good form over a mile and a half at York when taking the Yorkshire Oaks, again on soft ground, edging out Vita Nova and sneaking bast Banimpire. Whether that is quite good enough to cut down Sea Moon on current form remains to be seen.
The Richard Hannon trained Census has looked like an improver, moving up from handicap company to beat older horses in the Geoffrey Freer stakes at Newbury. There are questions as to if he can find sufficient improvement to deal with the principles.
Seville was beaten out of sight by Sea Moon and surely can’t reverse form, while Masked Marvel only has a narrow win over Census on his CV.
