SOUTHAMPTON v BOLTON PREVIEW

After a storming finish to last season and with finance available, Southampton were pretty short price favourites to win League One at the start of the season. Things haven’t quite begun as expected with defeat by Plymouth and a draw with Orient, though they did see off neighbours Bournemouth. They’ve already signed midfielder Guilherme do Prado Guly from Cesena, who helped lift the Italian club back into Serie A. They do have goalscorers and players with Championship experience.

Bolton have made a very solid start to the season, and they will give young Hungarian goalkeeper Adam Bogdan a chance to play. He’s had a loan spell with Crewe – it was one match! Matty Taylor could be play and we’ll see if Bolton give some of their other young players, like highly promising striker Danny Ward, a run out. It’ll be fascinating to see how much strength in depth they have.

Sportnewsbase.com tip: Lay the Saints on Betfair, of if you like fixed odds – go for Bolton to keep up their good momentum at 7/5 with Bet 365
