After a difficult season on so many levels, this looks a great chance for Celtic to claim some silverware, which would bring some cheer to Neil Lennon. They have Kris Commons back from suspension, but Shaun Maloney is ruled out. There could be a return to Anthony Stokes who was suspended by the club for the final league match. They won this league fixture 4-0 without a great deal of fuss and have every reason to be confident having won 3 of the 4 fixtures between the two sides this season. An early goal here would surely see them lock up the game without too much fuss.
Motherwell can bring back several players, including first choice keeper Darren Randolph, with Steve Jennings and the experienced Maurice Ross, which helps make them look a slightly stronger and more resolute side. They can look back to their February meeting with Celtic, where they surprised them 2-0 with two goals from John Sutton. Their best tactic here looks to be keep the game tight and see if they can frustrate Celtic and punish them when the opportunity arises.
