QPR: 6/4
Newcastle United: 15/8
Draw: 9/4
Things are much changed at QPR, with Joey Barton of all people able to make his QPR debut against Newcastle. Winger Shaun Wright-Phillips should also make his debut in midfield and Luke Young at right-back, meaning the side looks a vastly different one to the team that has made an indifferent start to life in the Premier League. Striker DJ Campbell could also be included. Throw those players into the side and you have a very different unit from the one that lost at Wigan and got beaten heavily at home on the opening day by Bolton. While the talent level is clearly increased, they do have to adapt to a new side, and especially the unique talents of Adel Taarabt, who the side had learned to accomodate.
Newcastle are likely to stick with the team that beat Fulham. Despite their player sales they have seven points of out nine, and striker Leon Best has been in deceptively good form when fit. They have signed Inter full-back Davide Santon, but he should be on the bench. What Newcastle do seem to have developed in the absence of start players is a good cohesive team unit that is hard to break down, as exemplified in their win at Sunderland. That could prove crucial here against a new look side.
