QPR have confidence and momentum going into this match following their convincing win at Wolves. A comfortable victory at Molineux, where Manchester Untied and Chelsea fell last season, is no mean achievement. With the additions of Joey Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips they have some proven Premier League performances. Anton Ferdinand also provide a little extra help at the back and they should really be formed by manager Neil Warnock into a unit that can compete at this level. Kieron Dyer and Jamie Mackie remain ruled out, but these shouldn’t be huge concerns given the performance they produced.
Aston Villa appear to be gradually reigned in to play the all too conservative football offered by Alex McLeish. They have started off the season with a flurry of draws and the meek acceptance by Villa fans of a ex-Birmingham manager offering up this fare is frankly depressing but inevitable. To get back to the matter in hand, Villa will be missing the prolific Darren Bent and also Emile Heskey, so they will presumably sit deep and hope Gabriel Agbonlahor can use his pace. If they get a lead, then they might well preserve something.
QPR can finally get a home goal and win here. Rangers are a best priced 13/10 at Paddy Power and that looks like value to us. For the good of football and our bank balance. Use our link and you can also claim a free bet of up to £50.
