The Indianapolis Colts are rightful favourites for the Superbowl. They have the masterful Peyton Manning back at QB for another season, and their squad of players looks every bit as strong as last year, when they went 14-2. With Larry Coyer having had a year to settle in as defensive co-ordinator, expect an improved pass rushf from the Colts. They look mighty difficult to beat.
The New Orleans Saints have managed to retain the bulk of their Superbowl winning squad and ought to hold off a challenge from the Falcons to win the NFC South. You can add receiver Lance Moore into the mix as well. The Saints have every chance of heading back to the NFC Championship game at least.
The Dallas Cowboys have been widely tipped to become the first team every to play the Superbowl in their own stadium. They have a great defense, but there remain worries about their offensive line offering enough protection to Tony Romo and to get a good running game going. They may, as a result, be over reliant on that defense to win them matches.
The San Diego Chargers are a lock for the AFC West title and have a quality QB in Philip Rivers. We can see them in the AFC Championship match with the Colts and the Green Bay Packers have a good chance with Aaron Rodgers and a very solid supporting cast. The Minnesota Vikings have injury concerns and a very tough early season schedule that might just stop them making a significant impact.
The Baltimore Ravens good offense is likely to be undone by their weakness in pass defense. They should make the playoffs though, while the Jets should do something simialr.
