Tuesday’s men’s singles at New Haven sees the top seeds come into the competition at the last 32 stage, with top seed Marcos Baghdatis among them.
Three matches are being streamed live on Betfair – including Baghdatis v Igor Andreev. The others are Alexandr Dolgopolov v James Blake and Radek Stepanek v Fernando Gonzalez.

This is Gonzalez first match back from a knee injury that has kept him out for three months. Although Stepanek is a fading force, he had little trouble in his first round match, beating Pablo Cuevas very ruthlessly, and he has to be backed at that 4/6 with Stan James just for reasons of fitness.
Best Odds: Baghdatis 4/11 (1.36 with Totesport) v Andreev 9/4 (3.25 with Betfred)
Baghdatis has been in fine form this hard court summer, beating Rafael Nadal, while it’s all been a struggle for Andreev, who is outside the top 100 now. He found a first round opponent, Arnaud Clement, in even worse touch than he is. Baghdatis at 4/11 must be backed!
Best Odds: Dolgopolov 10/11 (1.91 with Betfred) v Blake 9/10 (1.90 with Victor Chandler)
A fascinating match that is really difficult to call. Blake was horrible in Tornto when he was beaten by Denis Istomin, but this is his home town event and he slaughtered Pere Riba yesterday – but then he is a clay courter and nothing else. Dolgopolov is going to be quicker and stronger than Riba, and we can go with Betfred’s 10/11 here.
