8/11 Jo Wilfried Tsonga v Gael Monfils 11/10
1/2 Ivan Ljubicic v Albert Montanes 13/8

MONTPELLIER SEMI-FINAL PREVIEW

The all French semi-final will be the one for the crowd, but picking a winner here is very difficult. History is in favour of Tsonga, who has won his only two tour meetings against Monfils – and done so comfortably. Monfils is having a good end to the year, making the final in Tokyo, where he was beaten by Rafael Nadal and he outlasted John Isner yesterday. Tsonga though, is showinng good signs after returning from injury and he battled past Gilles Simon in the last round. Tsonga should win here, but in a tighter match than past encounters.

In the other match, the evergreen Ivan Ljubicic takes on Albert Montanes. Ljubicic edged past the evergreen Jarkko Nieminen in his quarter-final and again, he will attempt to use his serve to dominate the points and look to avoid long rallies with the Spaniard, who justified our selection yesterday against Nikolay Davydenko. The longer the rallies, the more chance Montanes has of getting into the contest.

MONTPELLIER TENNIS TIPS

Ljubicic is a little too short to back againt Montanes, but Tsonga to win in 3 sets is excellent value at 3/1 with Betfred – use the link or betting banner to claim a free £50 bet on the ATP Tour!
