9/2 Nikolay Davydenko, Gael Monfils, 5/1 David Nalbandian, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 8/1 Ivan Ljubicic, Richard Gasquet, John Isner, 14/1 Gilles Simon
This 28 man tournament has a strong French flavour of course, but a real range of interesting contenders. Top seed Nikolay Davydenko though, is in horrible form, and it’s a surprise to see him as joint favourite. Jo Tsonga, also on the comeback trail, is seeded two and ha the returning David Nalbanadian in his quarter. Nalbandian won Washington earlier in the year after little practice, but it’s best to check his form out first -he should meet Tsonga in the last eight.
Gael Monfils, seeded three, has a likely quarter-final meeting with John Isner, the giant American with the huge serve, while Albert Montaes, Ivan Ljubicic and Richard Gasquet are in the top half of the draw with Davydenko. Ljubicic has impressed in recent weeks with his serve in the groove on fast courts, while Gasquet struggled in his opening match with Julian Reister.
Ivan Ljubicic is in the better top half of the draw and offers good each-way value at 8/1 with Betfred – use the claim button in the top right to get a free £50 bet with them.
