Manchester City: 4/9
Everton: 13/2
Draw: 100/30
Both sides were in Carling Cup action in midweek, and City were able to make plenty of alterations and get an easy win over Birmingham. They could make 7 or 8 changes with Sergio Aguero among those who had a nice restful evening. They also now have Kolo Toure to add to their midfield options, one area that Roberto Mancini says is weak. With Aguero and Edin Dzeko having both started the season firing, City have been transformed into a vibrant attacking force in contrast to the safety first label they had been tagged with.
The one thing that might make this game not a given is that City found Everton difficult to deal with last season. Everton did the double over their richer opponents last year, and City found Tim Cahill particularly awkward to deal with. In fact Everton seem to enjoy a visit to Eastlands like no other side, picking up four wins there.
Everton don’t have too many injury worries although there seems to be an on-going dispute with Louis Saha. They don’t have the luxury of making the amount of changes Manchester City do from beating WBA in extra-timme and that slight degree of fatigue goes against them too.
Manchester City look good to end their Everton hoo-doo and a 3-1 win is temptingly priced at 11/1 with Paddy Power. If you use our link, not only can you claim a free £50 bet but they will re-fund losing first score and scorer bets if Sergio Aguero scores twice!
