The weekend’s League One betting offers one or two interesting matches and with Sheffield Wednesday not playing tomorrow, Peterborough can go top.

The Posh will fancy their chances of doing so, as they face a Tranmere team struggling with injuries and form generally. There’s no doubt the Peterborough have the firepower to go anywhere and cause opponents trouble, and as long as they have learnt from their 5-1 drubbing at Bournemouth, they can come through this test. Other pace setters Carlisle and Oldham have matches with struggling West Country duo Swindon and Bristol Rovers. Swindon showed signs of life in winning at Southampton in midweek, while Oldham struggled a bit against Yeovil, so neither could be backed with outright confidence.
Huddersfield though, look good value for a home win with Bournemouth. They rediscovered some of their best form by beating Charlton last week – Bournemouth are not a bad side, but they do have serious injury problems with strikers, and could have as many as four frontline forwards missing. Keeping the ball would be vital at the Galpharm Stadium, and we expect Huddersfield to win here. The 4/6 with Totesport is too good to miss and we’ve backed them accordingly. You should too. In the TV game the MK Dons should see off Hartlepool. In the other games, we would quietly fancy Charlton to beat Exeter and Orient to win at Dagenham. Southampton are far too short odds against always patronised Rochdale.
