KHAN v JUDAH PREVIEW

Amir Khan has been installed as a clear favourite to beat his fellow world champion in this 140lb showdown after both fighters looked in excellent shape as they both hit the weight limit exactly. Khan appears to have the greater speed than the Brooklyn fighter, but there were some weakness shown in his last fight with Paul McCloskey, where the Irishman made Khan miss and have him look less than flashy before a clash of heads lead to the bout’s premature end.  If he finds Judah able to move so well he could have problems. However, Judah has been known to get into tear ups in the past. He says he’s a little more mature these days – and will have to be as he looks the more likely to get punished if the contest goes that way.

Khan has promised to go out and attack, sensing Judah’s possible weaknesses, so an exciting fight might be on the cards in contrast to the very controlled Haye-Kiliktschko contest a cuple of weeks ago. Judah was on the floor in his last fight in November before coming back to win. If Khan floors him here’s he’s unlikely to be quite so generous.
