Evs Glamorgan v Evens 4/5
This game should attract a good crowd and some extra interest with the return of Simon Jones to Glamorgan. The former England pace bowler has been signed on loan from Hampshire, where he has been getting limited game time, and will return to action for his first county tonight. At his best, Jones can be a good bowler in this form of the game. The Dragons have just two wins, both over Middlesex, and that is suprisiing when they have an experienced spin duo in Robert Croft and Dean Cosker, who ought to be difficult to get away in T20 cricket. Mark Cosgrove and Alviro Peterson should provide the power in the batting line up.
Essex have also struggled, which is a surprise given some of the talens they have at their disposal with James Foster, Ryan ten Doeschate and Ravi Bopara all set to play tonight. They have even taken a couple of pastings so far. They are missing Graham Napier and Scott Styris again through injury, and when you add that absence to Maurice Chambers they are starting to look significantly under strength. Home advantage under the lights is also something they have to counter here, which leans you to Glamorgan to score a win.
