Fulham: 7/10
Bolton Wanderers: 9/2
Draw: 5/2
Two teams who look likely for a season of struggle coming off the back of negative results makes for an intriguing and possibly tension filled match at Craven Cottage.
Fulham’s home record has seen them bag just two wins in their seven home games so far, and their is something not quite fully coherent about them yet, despite the time Martin Jol has had with the squad. The Europa League exit may help in terms of freshness for the long haul, but not for now. With Bobby Zamora struggling to be fit, and Steve Sidwell and Simon Davies out, the Cottagers are also robbed of some of their more attacking players. David Stockdale also comes in for Mark Schwarzer.
On the surface then, it might look a decent time for Bolton to roll up. Their defensive record though, remains dismal, a fact Owen Coyle never seems to address, or frankly to be asked about. Losing at home to Aston Villa is grim. Ivan Klasnic is fit, but David Wheater is still suspended. They also, for whatever reason, have a lousy record by the Thames, having not won at Fulham in their last 12 tries. They also have issues with red-cards.
So it’s the blunt versus the team that can’t defend. In a sick way, we can’t wait.
Fulham should get a couple of gifts to allow them to fall over the line here. We like the 13/2 with Paddy Power on a 2-1 win for the Cottagers. Use our link and claim free bets of up to £50!
