This looks like it has the potential to be one of the more one sided Calcutta Cup matches of recent years, with England 3/3 and the Scots yet to win despite a degree of optimism going into the Six Nations. The Scots haven’t won at Twickenham since 1983 and have made radical changes to their side to try and cause an upset. They certainly won’t lack for heart or desire in this fixture, but dealing with the apparent pace and power of the English forwards and backs can’t entirely be done through passion alone. The Scots bring back wing Simon Danielli, centre Joe Ansbro and scrum-half Rory Lawson , while Nathan Hines returns at blind-side. The Scots have been prone to basic mistakes so far, and if they eliminate those errors they can make this competitive. Defence coach Graham Steadman has also talked of the Scots playing the percentages. They might take heart from Italy upsetting France, but England look another step up.
