ENGLAND v FRANCE PREVIEW

There is plenty of confidence and bullish talk emerging from the England camp. They are confident that their forwards, with Andrew Sheridan restored, can hold their own, and that the back-line, including Chris Ashton and Mark Cueto, will be able to score tries. France have been vulnerable in defence at times so far, conceding three tries against Ireland in their 25-22 win in Dublin. England hope to impose themselves early and exploit any perceived mental frailties from the seemingly often temperamental French.

The French won the Six Nations last year, taking the Grand Slam, but England pushed them very hard in Paris. The French have made alterations to their side, recalling the experienced back row Sebastien Chabal,  scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili and centre Yannick Jauzion, which perhaps indicate they know they are in for an encounter that will be tough and played with nous among the forwards. They have also promised to target scrum-half Ben Youngs. Coach Marc Lievremont said England are the least liked team in the championship. He might not be much fonder of them after this Six Nations match.
