Manchester United: 11/4
Barcelona: 21/20
Draw: 5/2
We either have the joy of a tactical chess match awaiting us, or two sides attacking with merry abandon. If United go with their most likely side, according to the papers, they will stick with two forwards in Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez and might find it difficult to contain Barcelona. If one is sacrifcied, then they could well struggle to get down the flanks, which are Barca’s weak point (relatively). Fletcher has been struggling with a virus and is not expected to feature, so they will attempt, it seems to fight fire with fire.
Barca look likely to go with Javier Mascherano as a centre back and push Carlos Puyol to left back, leaving them looking a little less than 100% at the back – if they can be got at. They still have the talents of Iniesta, Messi, Pedro and Xavi to drive forward and can expect the majority of possession, even if United try to attack. They have Messi as the central man to suck in midfielders, and then they can spread the ball out to the rest of their talents.
There is a good chance United can score here, but Barcelona look to be too strong and should wrap this up in 90 minutes.
