9/1 Dare to Dance, Questioning, 10/1 Man of Action, Cry Fury, 14/1 Sagramor, Red Gulch, 16/1 Albaqaa, 18/1 Bar
Dare to Dance has long been fancied for this race, but the ground appears to be going against Jeremy Noseda’s three-year-old as the race approaches. Questoning has moved up to be joint favourite, but there are one or two suggestions as well he may be moody, and connections are taking the risk of trying him with a visor. We’ll see how much he fancies this test in such a huge field.
Man of Action won at Doncaster in good style, but in theory has to try and reverse Goodwood form with Proponent, who does look to have a lot of weight at 9-7. Stamina is the slight concern for Man of Action. Cry Fury is from the Roger Charlton stable – he has some nice looking form and is from a yard which has had good success in the race in the past.
If you are looking for past trends when it comes to the race, most winners need to have shown proven stamina, as with 35 runners there is always a charge to see some running room early. The low stalls also have a poor record. A 35-runner handicap really is hard to pick, so apologies if we turn out not to have mentioned the winner.
Man of Action looks like he should put in a good performance at 10/1 with Paddy Power – use our link and claim a free bet of up to £50! Paddy Power are also paying out 1/4 the odds on the first five places too.
