BOLTON v LIVERPOOL PREVIEW

There’s no doubt that Bolton are making progress under Owen Coyle. They are picking up points, they are more easy on the eye, and they are starting to score more regularly with Johan Elmander finally showing a scoring touch. Strangely all his 5 goals have come away from home. Ivan Klasnic could feature despite being arrested this week. Wanderers have only been beaten by Arsenal so far in the Premier League, but they do concede goals. They have not kept a clean sheet in the league since the opening day. However they can and will create chances.

Talk of a Liverpool revival is now louder – but beating Blackburn, so lame away from home, is not a sign that everything has turned round magically. Though a Torres goal was welcome, there are still plenty of imponderables. Glen Johnson and Dirk Kuyt both remain sidelined. They may be allowed some space though by a Bolton side you assume will be positive.
