It might just be that things are, ever so gently, coming undone for Blackpool. It’s four defeats in their last five games, and there have to be concerns about Charlie Adam playing at his best, despite an excellent performance on Saturday. One positive is D.J.Campbell being fit to play again, while the Tangerines are reportedly looking at Swindon’s free-scoring Charlie Austin as a possible new signing. Goalkeeper Richard Kingson should also be ok despite having to come off in the defeat by Sunderland.
Manchester United rumble on, seemingly without fuss and have injury worries over Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick going into this one. Their win against Birmingham was pretty emphatic and they also have Rafael back fit. At least Blackpool will be positive and try and put United under pressure – this is an increasing rarity.
