1. Sebastien Vettel (4/5)
2. Lewis Hamilton (9/4)
3. Fernando Alonso (7/1)
4. Jenson Button (16/1)
5. Mark Webber (10/1)
6. Felipe Massa (50/1)
This race is bound to be affected by the various permutations in the title race. Sebastien Vettel has a simple plan which is to go “flat out” but there is a possible scenario where he is leading and might move over to allow Mark Webber to clinch the world championship. Vettel has looked the quickest in practice, but he might be wary of Lewis Hamilton at the start. Hamilton needs a win to have any hopes of the title, and you can see a scenario where he is prepared to take real risks to do that, where as Vettel has consider points in his title challenge. Second might just be enough.
Alonso simply needs a top two finish to take the title, regardless of the mayhem around him, so it is not in his interests to be reckless and push for a race win. Webber seems to have missed his chance for victory with an indifferent qualifying performance, and he may see the title slip away because of it.
